Enthusiasm for blogging can wane over time. When you've had a blog for many years, it's normal for some of the initial passion to wane. Time is often blamed, and perhaps nothing has changed in the blogger's life in those years. Why is enthusiasm in blogging waning? It is impossible to give a univocal answer, because enthusiasm is personal: everyone gets excited in their own way. However, it is a response that the blogger must give when he loses momentum, when he feels the feeling that had invaded him when he opened the blog wane.
When I lost enthusiasm for a blog and how I found it again In 2007 I launched my blog on Edgar Allan Poe and that same year I stopped for 7 months. Then I went back to writing, some months a lot, others very little. Until December 2012, I only took over the blog again in January 2017: 4 full Special Data years without publishing anything. And then I had another 9 month gap. What had happened? And how did I start writing again? The first time a boy contacted me offering contributions. And then I gave the opportunity to blog to other bloggers. And proposals started arriving.
The 4 year gap was caused by some changes in my life, in fact, more than changes they were uncertainties. I wanted to move abroad because I couldn't find a permanent job here. Then «Blue Pen» took up a lot of my free time (at that time I published a lot here) and therefore I had no way to dedicate myself to another blog. But thanks to «Blue Pen» I am now working. What did I do to get back blogging about Poe? I changed the graphic theme . Yes: seeing the old graphics made me tired, it always reminded me of the abandoned blog. So I bought a new theme, customized it and it felt like I had a new blog. Then I created an editorial calendar , which I had never done before on that blog.
